Do you feel exhausted, worn out, and drained? Do you have chronic illness or get sick often? Frequently, these are warning signs of a toxic body, and is your body’s way of alerting you that it’s time to do a deep body cleanse.
But what is body cleansing? Body cleansing is just a method to detoxify your body internally. Often times, people don’t think much about what they’re eating and putting on their skin. But when you look at the labels, you’ll often see a large number of man-made chemicals, and your body isn’t designed to process or consume these chemicals. Because pesticides and insecticides don’t need to be labeled, unless you’re eating all organic foods, those chemicals are in every bite too.
You know those substances aren’t good for you – but how do you get them out of your body? That’s where deep cleansing comes in, and it often involves colon cleansing, liver cleansing, and even a gallbladder cleanse. Colon cleansing is done regularly with enemas, or even professional colonics. Liver cleansing is often done with coffee enemas. While coffee enemas sound a bit strange, they work like a charm! And believe it or not, you can remove your gallstones, by drinking concoctions of Epsom salts, and lemon juice and olive oil. You can find the complete recipe by doing a Google search.
Water fasting and juice fasting can be part of cleansing too. Did you know that fasting is a powerful method of detoxification? Juice fasting provides optimal nutrition, while you’re detoxifying.
Because the powerful healing powers of coconut oil are becoming well known, coconut oil is often used in body cleansing too. Did you know coconut oil is a powerful natural antiviral and antibacterial agent? Coconut oil is so powerful that some cleanses are based entirely around fasting on lemonade with coconut oil in it.

Colon cleansing has become increasingly popular in recent years, but it’s been around for ages. Early mentions of colon cleansing date back to biblical times, and today’s health food stores have shelves lined with different colon cleansers.
But why has the popularity of colon cleansing increased so much in recent years? Certainly, part of it is due to the popularity of the Master Cleanse and other programs designed to cleanse the body. A body cleansing program removes a great deal of stored toxic waste from the body, and as these programs are marketed, people regularly talk about how much waste is trapped in the average person’s colon and in body. There are even some pretty incredible pictures of the filth that has been removed by colon cleansing. And more people are becoming aware of the need for colon cleansing, because more and more people are talking about it.
Diets and lifestyles have also changed a great deal in the last fifty years and even more so in the last hundred years. In general, people are eating more processed foods, and less natural foods. The combination tends to allow more waste to build in the colon, where it sits uneliminated, because the high fiber content of natural foods that is meant to push the waste out of the body is often missing. Unfortunately, though, when this waste sits in the colon, it putrefies, and the end result is often disease for the person that carries it.
In fact, some natural health care professionals believe that all disease begins in the colon and that all disease can be attributed to toxins stored in the body. However, through the use of colon cleansing methods like colonics, enemas, and colon cleansing products, a great deal of this filth can be removed from the body forever. And when the body and colon are really cleansed though deep body cleansing, it’s quite common for health problems disappear.

Many smokers keep smoking because they believe that they will put on a few pounds if they quit. But what if smoking was more a factor in weight gain – but one that took place over time? “How can this be?” you ask. Let me explain…
Your liver is your body’s prime fat burning and detoxification organ. Actually, your liver has over a thousand jobs in the body, but two of its critical ones are daily detoxification and burning fat.
Now, it’s no secret that smoking is a habit that pollutes the body with literally hundreds of different chemicals per cigarette. But, what you may not know, is that with habits that pollute the body to such an extreme, your liver (which filters chemicals and toxins from your blood) easily becomes overworked and overloaded from the constant need to detoxify all of these incoming chemicals.
In addition to just being overworked and overwhelmed, your liver will also eventually become pretty thoroughly congested with toxins. This is because if your liver can’t render a toxin harmless for you – it’ll store it. Your liver does this to keep the incoming chemicals and toxins out of your blood – to keep them from causing immediate harm. It’s a favor your liver does for you, but if it’s allowed to happen continually, it will cause problems over time.
With the habit of smoking, toxins will build up in your liver – and throughout your body. Eventually, your liver will struggle to do its daily work – which includes fat burning and detoxification. Actually, smoking is an excellent way to build toxicity in your liver and thus hamper your liver’s ability to burn fat. But that’s a far cry from what most people want. It’s the opposite of what they want.
Quitting smoking is an excellent move in the right direction to dramatically decrease your incoming toxic load. In addition, doing a body cleanse, including a liver cleanse, can work wonders and remove much of the stored toxicity that smokers and ex-smokers have in their bodies. Because, unfortunately, most accumulated toxicity will stay put until some deep cleansing, especially liver cleansing, is done. And there’s only so much of a toxic burden that a body can bear before it starts showing symptoms of problems. Weight gain is actually a common symptom of an unhealthy liver! So are health problems.
It’s widely accepted that health problems are both more common and more serious in people who smoke. Do you know why? The pollution of the body with so many highly toxic chemicals is certainly a considerable part of the reason.
The other part is that by overburdening the liver, those chemicals actually hamper the liver’s ability to detoxify the body – in general. And when the liver can’t detoxify all of the incoming chemicals from smoking, and other common sources like processed foods, non-organic foods, lotions, cosmetics, and shampoos, you will undoubtedly begin to see health problems.
In addition, if you haven’t quit yet, cleansing your body can help you quit. This is because it’s the chemicals from the cigarettes in your body that are causing your cravings. You didn’t have cravings before you began smoking did you? So by removing those chemicals from your body, you can fairly easily eliminate your cravings. Trust me, both dropping the butt and cleansing your body can be two of the best things you’ve ever done. And you might just lose some weight in the process.
