Lucid Dream Tactics Explained

If you are not yet familiar with the phrase, Lucid Dreaming is a relatively simple concept. A Lucid Dream is a dream where you are aware that you are dreaming, even while in the middle of it. The degree of lucidity depends on a few things how much control you can exert over events in the dream, how much of the dream you can remember upon waking and how stable the dream is.

The most important part of this equation is the control you have over the events of your dream and that you know that you are in fact dreaming. You are in control of your dream and can have any experience with your lucid dream that you want to have.

Just take a moment to consider the possibilities. When you are Lucid Dreaming, everything feels and looks real, but you are aware that you are dreaming and will be safe no matter what happens in your dream. This is the kind of personal virtual reality experience which no computer yet created can come close to.

A growing number of people are mastering Lucid Dreaming and trying it for themselves. While most of us have an experience with Lucid Dreaming at some point in our lives, just imagine how great it would be to have a Lucid Dram any time you choose!

Lucid Dreaming gives you the opportunity to have any experience that you can think of. You can meet anyone you ever wanted to, visit other planets, have unbridled erotic experiences, speak with the loved ones you have lost; anything you can imagine can happen.

Being able to experience Lucid Dreaming on a regular basis is something which it used to take a long time to be able to do. Some spent months before they could have a Lucid Dream and some were never able to master the technique.

So are there any simple ways of experiencing a Lucid Dream?

There are those who claim that the odds of having a Lucid Dream will be increased by having certain foods close to bedtime. Some of these foods are orange juice, milk, cheese and mustard.

Other people have found success with foods such as: Pickles, Ice cream, Popcorn, and Fish. Although, the success rate for these foods has not been as successful as the foods described above. The claim is that these high acid and fatty foods help prepare the brain for the lucidity session. There are two main problems with eating these foods. The first is that these foods do not induce a restful night’s sleep, and eating before bed can cause weight gain.

Can Technology Assist You?

The technology not only exists, but it is being researched and improved. As this technology improves, so does your chances with experiencing dream lucidity. Some of these devices include masks and eye shade which monitor your eyes and blink a red diode when REM sleep begins. The Rapid Eye Movement portion of sleep is an indicator that dreaming is taking place. The red beam can help people remember that they are in fact dreaming as the red beam becomes part of the dream. Once the person remembers that a red beam during the dream means that they are in control, then they can begin to manipulate the dreaming session.

Another fabulous piece of technology that is helping even more people enter into the Lucid Dream world is an audio device. This little device has been developed by scientists to play different sound wave frequencies known as binaural beats.

These binaural beats are designed to assist the dreamer in synchronizing both hemispheres of the brain. Just by simply listening to these special frequencies the mind goes almost instantly into the REM sleep mode. This is exactly where they need to be in order to begin a Lucid Dream session.

If you have ever wanted to experiences a fantastic Lucid Dream session and not have to work hard to learn how to do so, then this is definitely your most reliable method to getting started!

The Secret Life Of A Lucid Dreamer!

Many people have those dreams where you are conscious of everything going on around you and you feel like it is almost real life except for a few minor details. These are called lucid dreams. Lucid dreaming is usually a more realistic dream than normal ones that can turn into nightmares, because you are in control of the script and the outcome of these dreams.

You can have all kinds of lucid dreams which range from mystery to fairytale to romance. The possibilities are endless and what ever you want can happen when you are lucid dreaming.

Normal dreams are not ones that let you control them, and sometimes take a turn for the worse, bringing out some of the worst fears buried in your minds, whereby when lucid dreaming, the dreams often seem so real and lifelike that you have a hard time distinguishing them from normal, everyday life.

A great way to find out whether it’s a dream or reality is to read a book, paper or magazine in the dream. Normally in dreams the letters are hazy and forever shifting and hence you can never read in a dream. If you can’t read then you sure are dreaming.

You may be fantasizing about something that you really want badly, such as a promotion, or a new home. This may be impossible in real life, but in your lucid dreams where you control the outcome, you may see yourself already doing the new job and details of it, or vividly see you moving into the house you want to purchase, for example.

When you understand that you are actually in a dream, then you can direct your dream the way you want. You can be with the person you want and actually start to dream about the person falling in love with you, being with you and even marrying you!

Lucid dreams are physically possible due to the biological need for your body to sleep but your mind remains in some conscious level at all times, enough so to experience a lucid dream while your body appears to be asleep from outward appearances.

Learning how to have lucid dreams can take a lot of practice and some people may not be able to master it until they have gone through a long, slow process.

A good way to start is by trying to recall your dreams. Describe the images, from your dreams as vividly as you can. You can keep a pad and pen or pencil by the bed or lounge chair. Keep them handy so you waste no time jotting down your images clearly. If you don’t remember everything, don’t worry. When the dream repeats its self and it will, you will have an opportunity to finish recording it. Do this technique with all your lucid dreams and you will have a record to use as a reference.

There are many writers who use lucid dreams to their advantage. They use it to plan their books and stories. They like to direct scenes and characters and even decide their endings by lucid dreams. Many people use lucid dreams to do what they can’t in real life. Maybe you want to travel the world or marry a handsome prince; you can do everything in your lucid dream. Many people even use lucid dreams to achieve their ambitions in the real world.

If you have ever dozed back to sleep after you have awoken from a lucid dream, you may have experienced where you can almost consciously return to where you were before you woke up. When you re-enter the dream, it may be easier to recall if you forget some details or you may end up changing some of the details when you dream the second time around.

Waking up before your normal waking time may cause you to hit the snooze alarm and doze off a bit and this is the prime time for lucid dreaming. You may even think you have been awake the whole time, but you have been experiencing a lucid dream that seems very lifelike.

As your expertise increases in the field you will find it’s quite easy. There are shortcuts to help you. One of them is self hypnosis which is a great way to help you to remember your dream to the last minute detail.

A recent development in sound technology can open the possibility for lucid dreaming to be possible. By stimulating certain areas of the brain, it has been proven to induce the dream state that is entered during lucid dreaming and can make it easier for you to recall your dreams.

So You Want To Be Involved In Lucid Dreaming…

Sometimes known as conscious dreaming, Lucid Dreaming is the art of keeping self aware and knowing that one is dreaming while in a dream. This includes being conscious that the events unfolding around you are only part of the dream and being able to exercise control over the dream. All of this is possible for the person who has learned how to use lucid dreaming.

Lucid dreaming is having the power to control the direction of your dream which is an element of your metaphysical existence. You will notice that all the limitations of reality seem to swiftly cease to exist.

However, is it really that easy to have lucid dreams? Can anyone experience lucid dreaming and reap the benefits?

You can easily practice lucid dreaming. Many studies prove that you have the ability to do this, if you commit yourself to learning how to harness this powerful medium while expressing your inner desires.

In order to master the art of lucid dreaming, you must establish your objective clearly. For instance do you only want a private haven in the form of lucid dreaming or do you want to learn for a precise reason of developing your skills? You must have a clear objective in mind, no matter your reason for learning to lucid dream.

Then starts the actual process of learning this art. Firstly, you need to learn a process, called Dream Recall, i.e., recalling a dream you had the previous night. Unless you remember a dream, you can’t achieve the stage of lucid dreaming.

The process is slow, but it can be achieved by maintaining a Dream Recall Register in which you enter as many details as you can remember about your dreams daily. Slowly but surely, you’ll realize that you can remember even the most vivid details of your dreams. Periodic reality checks during the course of dreaming will train your mind to be aware in dreams.

Some individuals have found that the time for preparing the subconscious mind for experiencing lucid dreaming is reduced greatly by having hypnosis. You have the ability to continually recall your dreams by having one or two sessions, in most cases. Once this occurs your mind is then conditioned for lucid dreaming.

Occasionally you may find yourself wide awake while you are lucid dreaming. You will be able to easily recall all the vital details of a dream with the power you have so far achieved. Simply allow yourself to relax and go back to sleep. You can continue your dream in your desired direction. You will begin to realize that you have experienced the power of conscious dreaming the previous night, after you wake up.

Another great way to have lucid dreams is to go back to sleep for a couple of hours after you wake up in the morning. These dreams are the closest to lucid dreams as they leave you wondering if they were actually dreams or your thoughts manifested in the form of a purported event.

This is easy to do by setting your alarm to chime just a couple of hours before you would normally wake up. Once the alarm goes off, simply wake up and turn it off and then go right back to sleep. You can enjoy your lucid dreams. In order for you to pinpoint the best time for lucid dreaming it is most helpful to keep a record of your personal sleeping patterns.

Lucid dreaming can help people with insomnia and other sleep disorders. If you have trouble sleeping, just tell yourself “Sleeping equals lucid dreaming” and your subconscious mind will help you become free of the thoughts keeping you awake.

It once was the case that it could take years to learn lucid dreaming; the only way to prepare the mind was meditation, which took a long time to master. A lot of people lack the discipline and would simply give up. New technologies, especially audio technology have made it possible for anyone to experience lucid dreaming.

One of the quickest and most efficient means of learning how to lucid dream is by listening to binaural audios.

Binaural audio involves listening to two slightly different frequencies in each ear. This synchronizes brain waves to the state where lucid dreaming is most likely to occur and at the same time causes deep relaxation.

Before this technology, meditation was the technique of choice, which did not work out so well for many people. Binaural audio is much faster and works reliably for the majority of people.

When binaural sound waves and hypnosis are used for preparing the subconscious mind it is very possible for you to experience lucid dreaming sooner.
